Hello ivanckt,

The default display mode of the hotspot is to be displayed according to the view (eg: rectilinear view).
It is very important that the hotspots to be distorted for immersive VR content that represent most of the cases.

The display mode that you need is something like this?
https://threejs.org/examples/webgl_points_billboards.html

In this sample, all the point are facing the camera without distortion.
We have to think about how to implement this render mode in the HotspotD mechanics, can be useful for texts I guess?

Thanks for this feature request, have a nice day!

Thanks Raphaël,

Yes, I mean something like that. I think not only for text, but for things that are clickable, they should obviously float from the background indicating clickable, and easily be seen far away without distortion. A button of circle for example, distorted to a shape like ><, the click area is not making sense anymore.

A sample from another tools, look at the hotspot buttons inside:

Hello Ivan,

I see what your request is about, thanks for sharing!
This feature does not exist for the moment.
I think about render these kind of spots on 2D in the screen space not in 3D.

Thank you, have a nice day!
