3d Objects

Postby SYG » Tue Jul 11, 2017 5:05 pm

Hi!

Is there any sample of a 3d object inserted in a scene?

I've just finished my first test tour (very simple!) with Forge.js and now I was trying to add some 3d objects to one of the panos, but I'm afraid I'm a bit lost.

Thanks in advance!

Yours,
Sergio

Hi,

For now, you can add simple geometries in your scenes like plan, box, sphere and cylinder.
We called these simple geometries hotspots.
You have no way to add complex 3D models like a car for exemple.

You should download our full release package archive here and take a look at the samples

In the archive you will find:

forgejs_full_package_x.x.x/samples/projects/hotspots

And all others samples that are prefix with hotspots keyword.

Hope this helps!

Hi!

Thanks for your reply! I've downloaded the package and I suspected something like that. :D

Do you know if it's going to be released in the near future a plugin for complex 3d objects?

If not I will try to call the three.js directly. Is there any docs about building a plugin or just the created ones as a sample?

Thanks!
Sergio

Hi Sergio,

Do you know if it's going to be released in the near future a plugin for complex 3d objects?

We plan to add the collada 3d model support in a near future like september / october if everything goes well :)

Is there any docs about building a plugin or just the created ones as a sample?

Take a look at the plugin section of our tutorial page

Hope this helps!

Have a nice day
